I have received the record on appeal in my case. It is 10,000 pages,
and an amazing set of documents. I have until June 30 to file my
appellant's opening brief, but will try to get that extended because
there are important documents missing from the record which I will try
to locate, and because the issues are so important that for the sake
of justice I ought to be given a real opportunity to adequately
present them.

This is also an opportunity for other individuals and groups to
participate in the appeal, both with direct help and by filing or
joining in amicus curiae (friend of the court) briefs in support of my
position. I'm hoping that ars persons can organize something, because
it really is a great opportunity. Perhaps some of the lawyers can
provide some guidance regarding what can be done.

This is, I believe, the basic information needed, and again a lawyer
can help.

Here in this little corner of Canada I do not have access to
California Rules of Court, or any other California or US law books for
that matter, so am just doing the best I can and can provide little
guidance in procedure or research. I can, however, provide facts and
the issues as I see them. Much of these have been stated in my
1/27/97 declaration in the Ward, Henson and Erlich cases which is (I
am very grateful) on a number of people's pages. I will answer any
questions I can as this progresses.

I've been working full time just to stay afloat and alive, and will
have to continue to do so. I am also extremely ungifted
technologically, so please bear with me. If anyone can help
techologically there is a great deal which I envision can be done.
The record on appeal, for example, could be scanned and preserved. It
is, as I said, an amazing record, very fact and document heavy, and
well organized, and will be instrumental in the resolution of the
Scientology problem.

I am, as a blessing or a burden, in a position legally and
historically, to play a role in resolving this problem. I am in this
geographic position to be able to participate at all; even though this
location has significant disadvantages. I know that there are many
people who want the Scientology problem to be resolved as soon as
possible and before terrible harm is inflicted. I hope those people
will communicate and help in this appeal.

Thank you all.
